Kendrick Lamar dancer banned for life after incident during Super Bowl halftime performance – Music

A dancer who unveiled a flag in support of Palestine and Sudan during the Super Bowl’s Halftime Show has been banned from NFL events and stadiums for life.
During Kendrick Lamar’s highly-anticipated gig at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, one of the performers suddenly unveiled the banner which combined the countries flags.
The man began his stunt while standing on a car which was part of the rapper’s elaborate set up, before leaping off the bonnet and fleeing from the stage when security attempted to catch up with him.
Footage shows how the flag waver gave some of the football stars a run for their money with his speed, although he was eventually brought down by staff.
Despite being stopped by security, millions of people tuning into the Super Bowl from around the world still saw the brief protest on the pitch.
The NFL confirming later confirmed the person was a part of the 400-strong cast who were on the field for the Halftime Show.

The New Orleans Police Department told LADbible in a statement: “The individual detained in this incident, an adult black male, was ejected from the stadium after the incident.
“No arrest nor summons was issued. As such, the individual will not be identified.
“The NOPD continues to work with NFL and the halftime production team to ascertain any affiliation the individual may have had with the halftime show.”
According to the NFL, ‘the individual hid the item on his person and unveiled it late in the show’ and that ‘no one involved with the production was aware of the individual’s intent’.
The punishment which the performer-turned-protester is in for has now been confirmed by the NFL.
The man will not face any criminal charges, according to reports, however he has received a lifetime ban from US football stadiums and events.
In a statement to NBC, an NFL spokesperson said: “We commend security for quickly detaining the individual who displayed the flag. He was a part of the 400-member field cast.”

“The individual hid the item on his possession and unveiled it late in the show.
“No one involved with the production was aware of the individual’s intent.”
Roc Nation, who produced the Halftime Show, also insisted it didn’t have any idea about the flag stunt.
A statement explained that it ‘was neither planned nor part of the production and was never in any rehearsal’.
Gaza and Sudan are two particularly war-torn areas of the world.
A ceasefire in Gaza was secured last month after thousands of deaths and Hamas have freed some hostages, while Israel has released prisoners in exchange, though US president Donald Trump recently said that America was ‘committed to buying and owning Gaza’, Associated Press reports.
The conflict in Sudan has also claimed thousands of lives, with the United Nations (UN) warning that there have been hundreds of civilian casualties in recent weeks alone.
Security expert Will Geddes told LADbible that the protester being able to perform so publicly was a ‘massive failing of security by the stadium’.
