Steph Curry’s Unanimous Media Partners With iHeartMedia on Podcast Slate

Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton’s Unanimous Media is going deep on podcasts.

The company has teamed with iHeartMedia to launch a new Unanimous podcast slate to deliver content designed to “showcase a wide range of compelling shows across sports, entertainment, culture and more,” all of which will be distributed by iHeartPodcasts and be available on the iHeartRadio app or anywhere podcasts can be found.

One is ready to come off the bench: The first show in the new slate is G.O.T.E. with Seth Curry and Travonne Edwards, and it’s scheduled to debut in February. The podcast, an acronym for greatest of their era, will be fronted by Steph Curry’s younger brother and Edwards, a cultural commentator. The pair will sit down with athletes, entertainers and influencers who are “shaping the cultural landscape, offering a nuanced and multifaceted look at what it truly means to be great in today’s world.”

For their part, Steph Curry and Peyton said they are “thrilled” to link up with iHeart. “Podcasting is such a powerful medium for storytelling, and our goal with this new network is to create a platform that amplifies diverse perspectives and sparks meaningful conversations,” they said in a joint statement. “We’re incredibly excited to kick things off with G.O.T.E., a show that highlights the intersection of sports and culture in a way that we hope will excite fans.”

Added Seth Curry and Edwards: “The podcast is an opportunity to not only celebrate greatness in sports, but also explore the broader impact these athletes have on culture and society. Travonne and I have incredible conversations on and off the mic, and we can’t wait to bring listeners into our world.”

Per today’s news, Unanimous plans to continue to grow it’s podcast slate this year with an eye on “giving underrepresented voices the opportunity to engage with diverse audiences, fostering a more inclusive and informed podcasting landscape,” per the company. Unanimous has had a footprint in the podcast space already with The Greatest Sports Stories Never Told, Fifteen Minutes from Home, Game On, and Heat Check.
